The anchorage in Vivari was a popular stop for the charter boats

We spent a night in Vivari which filled up with charter boats trying to wiggle onto the shallower shelf where we were anchored, then headed to the pretty bay behind Korakas Island. Todd was up and down the mast fixing the Code 0 halyard again, which had gotten the twist back in it when we tried to hoist the kite, then he assisted Polaris with a fouled anchor (they think they found the only rock in the bay!). We hosted Sunday dinner for the 3 boats and got the BBQ fired up. As usual after a fun night, the wind started blowing onshore around 4 am. Sah Sen reanchored behind the shelter of the island for a few hours, and we pulled the anchor at first light and headed for the shelter of Port Kheli. It was practically empty of boats which was the complete opposite of our first visit, so we anchored in 12 feet of water with plenty of space around us. By noon, we had done our chores ashore and the our friends boats had all arrived. 4 pm had us all sitting in the shade pool side at the Nautalis Hotel (a cruiser friendly establishment where you could swim, shower, and do laundry), discussing sail plans. There was a break in the wind in the next 48 hr to allow a calm passage around “Devils Cape” = Cape Maleas, the first cape rounding of the Peloponnise.
