It was time to start getting up towards Preveza, and as usual we were looking for a sheltered bay with clear water and a sandy bottom to spend a few days and clean the hull. Once we were back in Preveza the water would be brackish and not great for swimming or water making, so we were happy to find One Tree Bay on the Southeast end of the Levkas Canal (mainland side), to tuck in for a few days. There were only 3 boats there initially but this changed dramatically, and by evening there was barely swing room.
I admit to a sense of accomplishment when we motored down the channel into the anchorage off Preveza. We had now completed a modest circumnavigation of the Peloponnise and a chunk of the Cyclades and Ionian islands. (It was much less exciting than our initial 1 am arrival after crossing from Sicily back in the early May though, being in broad daylight this time!).
