We saw a break in the weather and took off for the Fort hike in Kotor. The entrance in Old Town was pretty straight forward, staying left through the town, then under the arch and up until you hit the mountain. There were few people around, and once again we were fortunate to be missing the summer crowds.
It was a perfect crisp and clear day for the hike. Every step up was a step above sea level and farther away from that familiar altitude, but what great views were to be had!!
It took about 80 minutes with stops for photo’s, to get to the top without working too hard. However, we were passed twice by a local guy who was hiking up and down with a weight vest and 4 cuff weights. He was doing 3 round trips, and he said he did it 5 days a week. Me, I was happy that all my bits and pieces were still working the next day, hey!
