We had a lovely time with our fellow MDR boats in Abelike Bay before heading up to Nidri. Initially we were going to anchor in Tranquil Bay immediately opposite Nidri, but there were a lot of boats there and minimal swing room, so we headed into Vlikho Bay proper. (Dodging a few boats anchored in the channel..)
Doug and Sandy came down from Preveza, and a few other boats from MDR arrived in anticipation of the mini rendezvous on Sunday May 19th. This was also when a strong southerly was due, and we were happy for the good holding and extra room in the bay. The Vlikho Yacht Club was the location of our get together for “Sunday roast”. It was nice to see the familiar faces and hear about recent experiences and future plans, (which are some of the best parts of cruising!), and the food was tasty!
