Chicken gizzards cooked confit and served on a salad, calamari in lemon, garlic, and olive oil over shredded and sautéed carrot and zucchini, and a chocolate mousse. We also did a little shopping and got a great new paddle board from a local shop called “Redwood Paddles” and have had that out for a few spins.
Sandrine and Richard, Myra and Leanna who were our old AirBnB host family from last year, came for lunch and spent an afternoon on the boat. We also had a nice “ Bri”, plus a few cocktail hours with Kim (who is originally from South Africa), and Colin “Foxy”. It’s supposed to blow like stink for 4-5 days starting Wednesday so we wouldn’t be leaving then anyway. The last couple of days we have had morning short sprinkles of rain with nice cloud allowing us to sleep in a bit before it eventually clears to the usual bright heat by early afternoon, necessitating a swim to cool off! Today we have been blessed with cloud and little sun showers all day, with frequent rumblings of thunder, which has been a welcome change.
That’s about it for now, the project manager is due by this afternoon hopefully with a new gypsy for the windlass or mechanic in tow, but in the meantime, siesta calls! We hope you are all enjoying your summers and we will check back in from a different locale (fingers crossed), with a bit more adventure and a bit less maintenance to report!
Cheers to you all ! XX Virg and Todd.
