Within an hour of anchoring in the bay at Preveza, we looked out and saw Felix and Jace, 2 of the boats from our winter berth at Marina Di Ragusa Sicily. Daz came over from Jace and mentioned a group would be going to the annual sardine festival that evening arouond 8.30 pm if we were interested. I was very keen, and Todd would have been up for it except his left foot was still recovering from his wild paddle boarding “biathalon” so he stayed aboard.
The cover price was only 3 euro which included a heaping plate of sardines, a plateful of tomato and cucumber salad, bread, and a glass of wine..ompa! There was traditional dancing with the live music adding to the festive atmposhere, and it was nice to catch up with our fellow cruisers and swap stories for a few hours before we all went our separate ways.
