It was nice to get back to the clearer water in Petriti and start some of the pre-wintering jobs. Todd pulled the caulking from the starboard deck-hull seam and prepped it for resealing. The current seam was failing as it didn’t appear that the previous sealant had UV protection. A few days later, a nice breeze arrived and we took the opportunity for a lovely sail with the Code 0, and then the spinakker to Sivota-Meurtos. This time we anchored off the beach near the town instead of stern tying to an island. The usual charter boat shenanigans ensued, and I had to run off a boat who dragged across our bow, then tried to reanchor on top of our anchor bouy. (They were pretty funny though, and asked if we wouldn’t mind moving, cheeky buggers!).

We did a walk around town the next morning before heading down the mainland coast to the anchorage at Kiriakis, which we actually had to ourselves for the night. There was a bit of a roll from the swell pushed by a NW wind that was blowing, but it was the best option of the 3 possible anchorages that we saw.
The next day was a motor sail back down to Preveza, where we would be hauling the boat for hard storage (out of the water), over the winter.
