Season Five

2021 SEASON 5 : A Walk to the Dead Center of Tivat

My Dad would make a little joke when we drove past a cemetery saying ” and here’s the dead center of “X” town we were driving through, so I always think of him when we hike up to the cemetery here in Tivat. It’s about 3 miles round trip, and winds up through a hillside neighborhood of stone houses before entering low forest at the foot of a bluff.

While travel is limited and the gyms are closed, we are finding ways to keep active between boat jobs and still enjoy what the immediate area has to offer. Currently there is a light sleet and temperatures are set to plummet back to 4-7 deg C (39-44 deg F) for the rest of a week, with another Bora (cold North wind) due Tuesday, so it was good to get a leg stretcher in this morning.

The views are spectacular, and it’s all downhill on the way back! (Photo’s were taken on a previous walk with boat neighbors)

  1. I guess all of our fathers had a funny joke although repeated for year. Mine was “people are just dying to get there…” At the risk of a bad pun, since things are closed and travel is limited, I guess things are DEAD there regardless.
    Make the best!

Fun fellows our Dads, another favorite was saying “Beehive yourself” anytime we pointed out beehives..and the hit’s kept on coming!
