After a glorious 2 days in Budima with good N protection, we headed up the Peljesac Peninsula with light southerly breeze to Zuljana. This was a pretty bay with clear water, and we were all alone again. The wind did come in at different angels and the boat twirled the night away.
Usually while we are underway, one of us is in the cockpit and the other charting, researching weather and anchorages, or cooking. When conditions are benign, the on watch can usually squeeze in a workout in the cockpit, which is a good use of time.
Aside from the space to workout, I can say that I really appreciate the cockpit for standing and stepping ( I won’t say walking around because we aren’t that size!). On our old boat, you were seated 99 percent of the watch, so our backs appreciate this upgrade. This is another reason we have a stand up paddle board (SUP) instead of kayaks..the last thing we want to do when we get to a nice bay is sit! ( Unless we cheated death and need to celebrate, ha!)
