We awoke to thunderstorms and heavy rain. It got us up and moving but fortunately didn’t last long…just long enough to cause a leak in the mast base which wet the USB hub for the new solar chargers.
We moved into Loviste proper and found a nice spot in the NW corner. The sun came out and we resealed the mast base bolts, as well as a small section of the dodger window.
Todd cleaned and sprayed the USB hub and put everything back together, and it all came back on line! You definitely need these little victories!
The next day we headed to a little local restaurant at our end of the bay. A lady was sitting on a bench near the water and saw us at the restaurant so called out for the owner who lived in the house behind it. Anita came down and said if we didn’t mind waiting 15 minutes while she got things opened up she would happily make lunch for us. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a fresh grilled fish and tender steak. As with Greece the mains came with french fries, but here in the Balkens you also get an extra potato side.
