Another good side trip was a visit to the Lanzarote Cactus Garden. It was a surprising place below ground level, with black and brown volcanic rock walls. There were crushed lava trails meandering through (according to the sign), the 1000 different kinds of cactus.
From cactus trees, to this pricked and petalled trunk…
